Monitoring - We have fixed the issue. We are monitoring.

We had been experiencing an issue where transactions are being processed successfully, but the associated webhooks are failing to update to a success status. This was resulting in merchants receiving failed webhooks even though customers have been debited.
As a fix, we are manually setting the runtime version of affected to a previous working version. We are also investigating setting lambdas to manual updates to prevent similar issues in the future.

Investigating - We have identified a low impact BIN attack targeting a number of WooCommerce merchants. To contain this, we are whitelisting South African cards only for the affected merchants. Meaning that foreign cards would not be successfully processed.

Please implement the following steps on your plugin settings to mitigate this:
•WooCommerce admin portal
•Click WooCommerce>Select Settings
•Go to the Payments tab
•In the payment methods list>click Peach Payments
•Select Enable Peach Payments Gateway
•Under Checkout Options>select Consolidated Payments only and remove the Card Payments option

The Consolidated Payments option still includes card payments for legitimate transactions, so normal processing will continue for genuine customers. This adjustment will help block fraudulent attempts moving forward.

Merchants whose transactions are unaffected will continue to process as normal.

Identified - The FNB teams have been working around the clock to identify the cause of the rejections and is affecting FNB Virtual cards.
FNB have confirmed, this is occurring across all platforms and partners.

The FNB team is currently working on the fix and will be releasing communication to their affected card holders when the fix has been made live. As this is in testing at the moment, FNB are not able to provide timelines.

Investigating - FNB issued card holders are currently experiencing card payment issues resulting in merchants' customers being debited for failed transactions. Our team has already escalated the issue with FNB team and they are working to resolve it as soon as possible.

FNB has confirmed the issue is on their end and the rejection relates to CVV errors.

For transactions that have already been processed and FNB card holders have been debited, FNB team advised that the FNB customers must log the queries via the FNB banking app or on the FNB website, the request would be to reverse the funds.

Resolved - This morning, we experienced card transaction declines processing through our ABSA connector. The Peach team reached out to ABSA team and on investigation, it was identified that the processing link was down due to a critical network change implemented on ABSA side.
